Are you scared of the rise in third gen diasporans?

I've been thinking about this lately and I realized I'm starting to see a lot of third gen diasporans as a couple of my older cousins are getting married and having children that are almost starting school. Just the thought of a rising demographic that are more westernized and prone to degenerate culture depresses me; but alas for such is life.

I’m scared of 3rd gens losing there daqan and deen. Just look at 2nd gens, there fathers don’t know a lick of English yet they are still hooyo mataalos :mjsuitcry:

Make sure if you have kids in the west, ou take them back home early to reconnect with their people and dhaqan.

Or esle ....

You lose the language you end up losing a big part of the culture. Forget hooyo mataalo, these new young bucks dont even understand you speaking the language letting alone being able to conversate in it.

our generation needs to have a big platform that showcases Somali cultural and language for the diaspora. Somali music has been big on tik tok and I even see my younger cousins who never went back home finding new music and listening to it regularly. The key is to showcase the great and fun things about it
