Are you proud of being Somali?

I want to know if you guys are truly proud of being Somali? What exactly is there to be proud of? Our failed country? History? Culture? Personally I don’t think I have ever been proud of being Somali but I do like myself it’s not that I have self hatred or something is just that I don’t think there’s anything to be proud about being a Somali. Let me know what you guys are proud about? We all fled our country anyway lol.

Yes I am proud of being somali, I like being able to see my people around and treating eachother like family and our rich history of trade. Even when we went through this war I'm glad to see us building ourselves back up despite all the odds against us. Why wouldn't I be proud?

Think about it there are so many ethnicities you could’ve been born as English, Mexican, Korean, Swedish, Brazilian and more and you were born Somali. Isn’t that so incredibly lucky.

Alhamdullilah for being Somali laakin we are lowkey lacking in something to be fully proud of. Our youth are busy humiliating themselves for cheap laughs in the name of Somali when by now we should have had many Somali musicians, ballers, and a tourist sect making it into the world stage for these lost youths to follow and be proud of. Kind of how Nigeria is doing with their afro beat and Morocco with their football players.
