This is a bit simplistic, where's the answer for both? Capitalism needs to be monitored closely

Free reign and profit maximization leads to the destruction of the earth, human suffering and everything else that's bad in the world

So, the government should monitor every industry not just oil? Do believe the government should decide wages like 15/HR?

If you don't view strong regulations as anti-Capitalist, then yes. But in the more colloquial sense where capitalism is akin to a free market, then 100% no.

I am with Halal Capitalism. As in not increasing prices when demand increases, no interest (riba)... The rasuul (sa) said the most hated places to Allah are the markets.

Yes, research has shown time and time again that industries resort to dodgy shit when they're left on their own devices with no regulations to keep them in check.

The government should set, or recommend I guess, a national living wage

LOL, okay :chrisfreshhah::drakelaugh:

No offense, but that's hilarious. :lolbron:
Historically that's how economies were run pre-Capitalism. You should read Debt: The first 5000 years by David Graeber :ufdup:

If pre-Capitalism people were fast forwarded to our time they would think we were slaves. Free people made their money by splitting profits between workers in a business. Only slaves would be paid a salary back then. :mjlol:

Then that's not capitalism lol. So do want the state to regulate, basically price-control?
Price gouging and taking advantage of demand is haraam in Islaam bro. Its one of the major sins.
Hoarding of essential items like wheat, barley, rice and oil etc during periods of shortages with the intention of selling them at higher rates to people who are compelled to purchase them is Harām and a Greater sin. It is promised Hell-fire.

The Messenger of Allah (S) says that he heard from Jibrīl (a.s.) that there was a valley in hell and fierce fire blazed in it. When he asked the caretaker of Hell about those who would be put there he said that it was for Three groups: The hoarders, the drunkards and those who earned commission on unlawful deals.1

He (S) also said that only the sinful people resort to hoarding goods. Also that if a person buys food items and hoards them for forty days so that prices rise in the Muslim markets, he has committed such a serious sin that if he were to later sell all the hoarded material and donate all the income it will not expiate for his sin.2

Hollywood does a fantastic job keeping people blue pilled on the economic system and gives people the false delusions that they will become the next Bill Gates.

I'm far from poor, but after having studied a course in 'International Political Economy' I came to the conclusion the game is rigged and capitalism simply doesn't work.

Examples?

The fishing industry. I don't think it can be left to self-regulate (or as close as possible to that).

you wanna try socialism? check out venezuala.

:drakewtf: Like there wasn't a serious corruption issue along with the the oil prices dropping. I don't think it's fair to solely blame socialism. Not to mention there's a huge distinction between socialist-leaning and full blown socialism.

Nigga, just one course? :chrisfreshhah::drakelaugh:

I agree for apart. Those with lower intelligence won't able to compete - but for others, they should be able to do just fine.
