They brought their kids to a new land so they are understandably worried for them but it translates to overbearing parenting and suspicion and that leads the kids to have a lack of trust in themselves and low self confidence. And the sheltering stunts their social skills

Introversion doesn't mean being shy or autistic. The majority are regular folk who just don't feel the need to be around people all the time. The majority of great scientists, writers etc were introvert. Extroverts have lower IQ.

Being introverted doesn't mean being shy...nor does it mean having social anxiety, nor does it mean being anti-social, nor does it mean being socially awkward. Yes, it's possible to be all those things and also an introvert...BUT, introversion is simply about how you recharge (do you get your energy from being in social settings and communicating with ppl? or do you get your energy from solitude/being alone for a while?).
