We are talking strictly about Yemenis.
facts. People are biased. I always hear "somalis were influenced by Yemenis" and never the other wayIt's obvious they were influenced by us since south Yemenis are the only ones who wear diracs. The north Yemenis wear the same thing as the other Arabs
''hilib'' we took hilib from them you oki, nigga every cave man had hilib nd baris,Somalis are probably more alike to Yemenis and Omanis than any other people in the region.
As for who influenced who, I think it was mutual. Hadramautis probably took diracs from us and Somalis probably took bariis iyo hilib (which is basically mandhi), bisbaas cagaar, maraaq and malawax from Yemenis.

Not all Culture but Southern Yemeni culture because Somalis used to live in Cadan in very large numbers.Somali culture is heavily influenced by Arab culture, same way Arab culture is somewhat influenced by ours.
Qamandi and teef.We were eating that for a long long time. Our diet was meat and caano geel throughout history and we would trade for rice and other grains

Somalia's entire historic diet was not caano geel and hilib.
What about people in areas without camels?
Its correct to say that the baadiye diet is caano geel iyo hilib but people in other areas of Somalia had much more diverse diets. It is important not to paint Somalia with a broad brush.
I didn’t say it was the only historic diet though
Our diet was meat and caano geel throughout history.
Maraq came from us, malawax existed everywhere and the modern malawax orginated from Europe, bisbas cagaar came from Somalia or south asia , 80% of the Arabs food came from ottoman Turks and 20% came from East Africans these people only copied us, their food was only meat and dates, the camels they got it from the SomalisSomalis are probably more alike to Yemenis and Omanis than any other people in the region.

Maraq was and are one of our ancient food, the camels orginated from the Somali peninsula and we always used to eat/drink maraqProbably.
All I know is that maraq is almost universal in Southern Arabia, malawax is now associated with Israeli culture and bisbaas cagaar is called zhoug in Yemen and I've seen American jews have tutorials on how to make it.

The jews from Israel literally took every food from the Middle East as Jewish food loool green chili sauce was originally Somali or south Asians laakin don’t know who but it’s not arab nor Jews lol
