Are there Somalis that live in majority hispanic population?

bro aren't there a good amount of somalis in texas tho, i have my uncle living there and he used to tell me that there was a community there. he lives around arlington

Not here in the capital, Austin. There's a small somali and ethio community, with more ethiopians of course [there's like 5-6 ethio restaurants here in Austin, not bad].
I'm sure there's more Somali's in Dallas, Houston, and around Arlington, for sure.

Somalis in the 50s and 60s went to Cuba to study in the Communist years .

i wonder how many married cuban women and had kids? that'd be an interesting mix. horn of africans/such as ethiopians and somalis, and cuban women... I know of one ethio-cuban couple here, idk if they have kids though

I'm Ethiopian/Oromo who gets mistaken for being Somali quite often, who lives among a majority of Latinos here in Texas, they're cool peoples man, they work hard and make lots of babies lol. There's a Mexican family here that reverted to Islam, their brothers work at this local Halal food spot that sells halal meats and other stuff, they're good people mashaaAllaah.
So Mexicans mistake you for a Somali

Texas is pretty much Mexico

In general, I get mistaken for Somali, by everyone, from white people to somali's themselves.
there aren't as many somali's here as minnesota, or new york, or even georgia where I used to live [stone mountain/clarkston/etc, has a lot of somalis, and even they, assumed I was one of them],
lol true, Texas was once their land, so.

interesting somali links to texas:

Somalis are mostly only visibly known in Minnesota, colombus and seattle. Everywhere else they're scarce compared to the whole of uk, scandinavia where we are known

There are a lot of bantus in Texas, very few Somali families. I guess people mistake you for bantu. I have seen one bantu looking oromo the other day at dahabshill in hillcroft area.

I grew up in a area city that had there community I think every immigrant to America tries to project a image that isn't true of them they definitely work hard here in America and do the dirtiest jobs so people have this image of them being really hard working when in fact they have no choice remember ten million Mexicans alone in America are illegal all of them are escaping their violent societies they also come from societies that worship whiteness so they are horribly anti black hell even in Spanish speaking tv it is not the majority mestizo that are on there it is white Hispanics.

the bantu look isn't really known to people, not as much as the typical somali look
I've seen bantu looking somalis too, with big noses, big lips, etc, and there's nothing wrong with that, I just don't look like that, i have a thinner nose/lips, etc, the typical so called hamitic-cushitic look :D

The bantu looking Somalis are actually bantus lol
The bantus in Texas claim somali. My Eritrean friend once said to me ‘yo Unbothered, today I met a west African looking lady claiming somalian ’ :mjlol:

He was the realest, I was the baddest 💋
I don’t know if I count because I’m half Djiboutian but I was born, raised, and still reside in the West side (been in 2 states, California and Nevada). The Hispanic/Latino relationship with Somalis here is basically nonexistent, they don’t know us or care looool. Aside from some anti-Black encounters I have had, I never had a huge issue with that community. A lot of my childhood friends up till today are Hispanic/Latino. My older neighbors were Mexican and Ecuadorian family and they were the sweetest fr they treated us like family and would invite us over for food 🥰<3 !

I fw the ones from the Caribbean and Afro-Hispanics more >>>
