It's one of those places you overlook, just like Spain, when it comes to how many Somalis live in southern Europe. There are Somalis in Italy, but most of them are recent qaxotis. In France, there are so few Somalis (mostly from Djibouti), and France has a lot of immigrants, so imagine how many Somalis live in places like Portugal. When I was in school, there was this Bengali kid who was born in Lisbon and could speak Portuguese. There were quite a few Portuguese madows and cadaans in my school too.

I went to lisbon last year and met 2 somali women, I was mainly in the central area and many people are priced out of that area so im sure there are many more somalis I didn't see.

one of the women came from Somalia and the other moved from the UK, they both spoke Portuguese.

I also noticed a lot of Bengali people in Lisbon.
