I looked at housewives like people who didn't want to work and only wanted to marry people that had money. Similar to gold diggers since they are both living and spending the person they married's money.

Plus I have heard many stories of females wanting to go wild during their younger years but once they get older they want to marry someone with a great job high paying job. Seems like they are honestly interested in accessing the husbands money. Plus if a divorce happens than she can take some of her mans wealth with her.
