This is a old video I found. I remeber dudes used to openly bash dark skin women on the regular in person and online, of all races calling them ugly, roaches, all types of names. Now we see more of a celebration of dark skin women. Are dark skin men just as affected by colorism by the African community snd society?

Jokes aside colorism does harm darkskinned men.

I still remember this tweet from two years ago, a darkskinned black man was labeled as a creep just for being in the backround of a picture.



Its december, his outside and got pictured off guard. He was labeled in the comments as a predator, creep and all sorts of dangerous accusations. You can still see some foul shit in the comments and quotes but most foul ones have been deleted due to backlash.


Darkskin was celebrated in somali culture just recently before starting to be perceived a little bit negatively. We still have people whos surname are Dhuxulow. Nowadays a lot of people here and in somali social media use dhuxul as something bad. We gone so much downhill and I honestly blame us dhuxul niggas for letting slander slide.

I think some men do internalize it but I think there is some who also project it and seek light skin partners. Also there are a lot who are very proud of their skin colour.

Dark skinned populations were enslaved, genocided and relegated to the bottom of the hierarchy in almost all socieities (and still are). The men were slapped around like weak b1tches, never being able to defend their people. They can’t provide, or build strong civilisations for their women and children.
