Are Leftist policies good for us?

In the USA, most vote Democrat, one of only two realistic choices, the other being Republican.
Democrats are left compared to the Republicans, but from a worldwide perspective they're a very centrist party.
It is very funny that people America think AOC and Ilhan are radical socialist when a lot of their policies are supported by right wing parties in Europe and Australia.

Somalis supporting capitalism sound like Trump supporters dissing Biden's tax plan even though barely any of them make over 400k per annum.
The only real capitalist society is the US and they have crap healthcare, their schools get shot up, their prisoners are glorified slaves and their infrastructure is non-existent.
Capitalism is great until you get fired and break your leg a week later.
i support capitalism but you're correct that Somalis who barely have income won't benefit from tax cuts but that is is a problem for them.

The thread title is what is better for us as a community and since most of us are not upper-class, why should we support capitalism.
Regardless, conservatives are still racist and never support us, why should we support them.
i thought i was leftist policies in general but still Capitalism is better compared to Socialism.most Somalis are on welfare and being this situation is not good for us. many communities such as jewish refugees and other refugees started successful life after coming to the country and i think it is better for us create an independent life like these communities compared to being on welfare like we are right now. Israel was built by the successful Jewish refugees in USA and if Somalis become successful there, they can build Somalia.

Free of charge health care and schooling are good. But some of the guys go too far. They want free daycare, debt forgiveness, UBI, green new deal (extremely costly), etc.

Why do somalis vote labour in the Uk, or democrat in the US? The only reason is because the right wingers hate us so Somalis have no option but to vote for the left.
Leftist parties have no incentive to actually do something for minorities because they take our vote for granted.
When it comes to leftism back home I think somalia should adopted leftist progressive policies like fighting for workers rights, redistribution of wealth, fighting against racism, tribalism, misogeny etc
