Are internet Somali spaces obsessed with marriage?

I been a lurker for a while on some Somali forums (somalispot and r/Somalia) and I have noticed that like 25% of topic discussed are about marriage.

Why?
Are we just very lonely?
Are there a lot of Somalis who are looking to get married but can’t?

Obviously being a traditionally religious and conservative society. one cannot simply divulge in extramarital relations and discussions of the other gender, therefore, talking about marriage is an acceptable substitute in most circles.


I would say its less so on somalispot and r/somalia compared to older forums of anonymous forums such as somnet.
