There are some somali people who use drugs but they are rare and if they are using it they mostly do it at home.

My cousin who works as a mental health worker told me that most somalis who use drugs are the people who are traumatized from the civil war

Somalis are very susceptible to falling into these issue. If people truly cared they'd develop prevention methods. They wouldn't allow their sons and daughters to loiter around town and would instead enroll them into after school activities. Better yet they should open a rehab for those in the community that have fallen down this path.

Facts. Ever seen an Asian addicted to drugs? Loitering the streets? Nope. They have good structure in every aspect of their lives from a young age. Active parents, strict schedules and rules and most importantly, absolute avoidance of setting in areas with degenerates and unproductive cultures.

Exactly. We need to run a tight ship. I know we have the odd parents that do this but this needs to be fully cultural thing. We should shame parents not active in their children's lives. I know it's hard for our parents but they effort they put in can greatly impact how their children develop.

From school it should go straight into after school clubs or Quran classes either at home or in the local mosque.

I guess recording do much more effect than simply helping. This will send a signal to all Somali families to do something about it. I saw Doc about Somali gangs in MN, and Somali communities are addressing gang issue by themselves.

This doesn’t do anything except humiliate the afflicated and if he wanted to do something he would speak to this persons family member or try to help them. They just want clout

InshaAllah he gets help but it’s not good for him to record someone when they’re in a bad state, he’s exposing the man’s sins.

Whenever i see a drunk somali or a druggie Somali- in the south minneapolis- i just feel depressed. I mean literally i feel anxious. But i always pray for them.
