What do you mean expansionist? Do you mean ethnic land disputes? Then yeah they have land disputes with Oromo region, Tigray region and Sudan. Good thing is that we don't border them so we are safe from that menace.

That's hard to say, according to them it's historic Amhara land that is part of Oromia and Tigray region

it was tplf for the past 27 years and now ethiopianist oromos are in power(abiy and his gang).

Amharas have been politically neutered for almost half a century. They could never have a dictatorship like Tigray and they could never fare in a democratic Ethiopia.

Abiy being half Amhara is the biggest bone they will get for many years to come. That(having a habesha mom) being enough to satisfy them shows you how the tables turned against them completely.

TPLF will be looking to get more autonomy from the fed the secession talk is just a way of bargaining for that. They did a good job preparing themselves for this they built a strong enough military that direct fighting is not in anyone interest and they wrote laws that on paper give the states alot of power. Their only vulnerability is precedent but that matters very little in Ethiopia.

Amhara have died, Tigray should be the new ally of all federal states including Oromia and Somali. More control in each federal state is the first step for balkanization. Oromos and Tigrays dont want that but I have confidence that they will fight for more power/control. They are Africans after all.
