Are Africans privileged in the west?

I was in a debate earlier with an AA and he said that the reason most Black people don't like Africans is beause they feel as if Africans are privileged in the west. We didn't have to fight against slavery, fight for equal rights, fight against segregation etc. So that raises the question, are we privileged? I don't think we are, due to the same racism we face and the circumstances we had to go through in order to move to the west in the first place.

Africans get treated like trash in most European/Asian countries while AA get treated like kings over there. It's only fair that we have 1 country that treats us better than them, and that's the United States.
