call me when the satellites are designed by Arabs, and launched by Arabs,

heck even the satellite Bus is made by south korea


every arab satellite launch has been launched by japan, or France or Russia, designed by foreigners, arabs trained by them

call me when they become like iran or north korea where they have a domestic satellite with home design and native engineers

True, but making my point its not a UAE owned project, they just threw money at it,

but then so did every other African nation except white south Africa, and most Asian nations and Latin America

United Arab Emirates becomes the first Arab country to reach Mars. The Emirates Mars mission, named the Hope probe, reached Mars' orbit at 7:42 p.m. Tuesday local time and sent a signal back to Earth. The success of the mission makes the UAE the first Arab country and the fifth globally to reach the red planet.

Chair of the UAE Space Agency and the Emirati Minister of State for Advanced Sciences Sarah Al-Amiri said the country is "comfortably waiting, anxiously anticipating our entry into space exploration as a nation."

The scientist said the UAE can now start sending data about the Martian atmosphere and climate, studying daily and seasonal changes.

"This being the first weather satellite on Mars will give us a better understanding of atmospheric dynamics and climate change on a neighbor that looks somewhat like us," - Al Amiri

The UAE named this mission "Arabs to Mars" instead " Emaratis to Mars ".

i hardly doubt emarities had anything beside putting their own name on the space shuttle that was made by others lets be real and just call it what its. its a japanses shuttle with a emariti flag on it

It is an achievement at the end. The essence of 7 years of work, research, and investing enormous of money on the local team, is something remarkable, it should not be downgraded. Investing in science other than unuseful stuff, is something positive that should be celebrated, instead of mocking it.

I am not mocking. Good for them but it’s kinda sad to see rich Arab nations with one trillion dollar sovereign wealth funds unable to beat sanction locked Iran and North Korea at science. These nations are banned from the dollar swift and even importing oil yet have out mustered.
