2% isn’t something small and that’s far from the truth. Statistics say up to a million are enslaved. Every Mauritanian I’ve seen on social media was the arab kind, never seen the madhow more than once. Yet they are most of the population. They are enslaved. Backwards evil beings.
Blacks are 70% of the population yet all the presidents I looked at, past 15, are “white moors” as they call themselves (they are brown).

Yes it's true, since the independance, they've been trying to marginalize black africans especially during the presidency of Maaouya ould Sid'Ahmed Taya. This dictator basically practiced ethnic cleansing in the institutions(politics, police...) targeting black africans. He was ousted by a millitary coup and since then, black africans have been regaining their status in the country.Blacks are 70% of the population yet all the presidents I looked at, past 15, are “white moors” as they call themselves (they are brown).

i see what youre saying but religion can be extremely important to a lot of people. my family would prefer me to marry a south sudanese muslim over a somali non muslim in a heartbeat.
