My cousin today came over and told my family what it's really like being married to a non somali man, she got married at 20 Mashallah with her Lebanese husband this was 10 years ago, he came to America to study and they meet in college.
They guy told his family he meet the love of his life to his family back home, and the ones scattered all over the world.
They have 4 children together Alhamduliah, but today she shared with us the truth, she said when they found out she was Somali (black), they weren't happy, they would call her husband and tell him to divorce her and run away with the kids (4 boys), he is a great husband he didn't listen to them, he didn't let them destroy his family.He had no choice but to break family ties, he hasn't spoken to his parents, brothers , sisters and cousins for 8 years. The man loves his family and the somali culture he said we have great deen and culture.
