I lurk a bit in Sudani forums and r/Sudan and it always just seems to me like Western or Khaleej diasporans who are middle-class to well-off writing about these experiences.

These people, especially relative to the average Sudani individual in Sudan, are pretty "liberal" and would abhor such genocidal behavior.

I went to high school and college with these type of sudanis. They were all whitewashed. In high school the ones I went to school with only hung out with Cadaans and Arabs. I was cool with a few south sudos though. use to hoop every weekend with some sudos in my neighborhood.

When I was in college I was legit surprised when I witnessed some of these sudanis show up to my school's east African club. I was like " since when TF did these niggas claim to be east African"".
