His son Muslim ibn Aqil, our uncle, was betrayed by the people of Kufaa which led to him being viciously being murdered by the Ummayad governor. His vicious murder let to the Karbala massacre as he couldn’t warn Hussein ibn Ali that the people of Kufaa were not to be trusted and that Hussein should stay in Medina. The Shia are scum of the earth, they don’t love Ahlu bayt. They’re the reason that Ahlu bayt were massacred.

عِشْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ
Aqil ibn Abi Talib al-Hashimi was the eldest of his siblings and the last of them to die. He was the grandfather of Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil al-Muhaddith. He had several children including Muslim, Yazid, Sa'id, Jafar, Abu Sa'id al-Ahwal, Muhammad, Abd al-Rahman, and Abdullah.

He fought as a polytheist in the Battle of Badr and was taken as a captive. He was forced to leave Mecca and was later captured. He did not have any wealth, so his uncle al-Abbas ransomed him.

It is reported that 'Aqil asked the Prophet - peace be upon him - on the day he was captured, "Who have you killed from their leaders?" The Prophet replied, "Abu Jahl was killed." 'Aqil said, "Now the scales are balanced for you."

Ibn Sa'd reported that 'Aqil migrated in the first year of Hijra and participated in the Battle of Mu'tah. He then returned to Medina and fell ill. There is no record of him participating in the conquest of Mecca, Hunayn, or Ta'if. The Prophet - peace be upon him - fed him at Khaybar with 140 sheep and gave him water every year.
