Apparently we were colonized by Germany?

Wikipedia is filled with Anti Somali trolls who are desperately trying to downplay our history. Many are Xaarbashi fa*gots who are trying to change the Ahmed Gurey history and Ajuran Sultanate. Some were even using bullshit edited maps claiming Oman ruled all of Somalia at one point even though it’s false.

British and Germans both tried to conquer the Swahili coast (which the Southern Somali coast was a part). Eventually Germans settled with the Tanzanian coast and the British got Kenya along with the Jubaland coast. Italians also entered the game when they bought Banadir coast from the sultan of Zanzibar.

"In the late 19th century, Somalia was colonized by European powers, first Germany,[26] and then Britain and Italy when the Germans abandoned their efforts in 1890. The British and Italians established the colonies of British Somaliland and Italian Somaliland.[27][28] "

@Grant do you have something to do with this ? :kanyehmm:

The US Peace Corps didn't show up until 1962, two years after independence.
We were invited by the Somali government and we left on short notice when told to by the Kacaan government.

The PC has been disbanded and the Somali Volunteers are all old and dying off. But we still have friends and donate to schools, clinics and a hospital. Two of us were observers at the last Somaliland election. A small group maintains contact online, but we have no official capacity.

Boqor of Boqors. The man your wife fantasises of.
I tried to edit and fix a note on Wikipedia about the Ajuran Empire a while ago and was rejected and banned from contributing by a White Woman.

That says a lot about Wikipedia and Somalia’s narrative and politics being controlled by foreign influence.

To my knowledge, Imperial Germany was in support of an independent & sovereign Somali State. Hence, why they gave military & diplomatic support to the Dervishes.
