Its possible that they are trying to defy the new regulations as much as possible but the FGS is aware and they're planning to take action such as downgrading Hargeisa airport to a local airport and forcing international airlines to go through Mogadishu. These issues will be resolved soon.I don’t understand, some people say they’re getting away with it. is it FlyDubai that is skirting the e-visa?

Yeah its true. Electronic Travel Authorization will be required starting November 27, 2025Some are carrying Somalia passport, while others are presenting a Somaliland eVisa at the border. Airlines don’t have a way to actually verify if these documents are valid. All they can do is check that the name, passport number, and dates match.
I'm seeing news that Somalia will be integrating its ETA system with airlines from the 27th, meaning people won't even get a boarding pass if their eVisa isn't valid.
