I know a lot of diasporas in non-English countries speak 3. But it's rare to find Somalis who exceed that number. I think most of them would be those scandis who added Arabic to their repotoire.

I am learning Spanish right now in preparation for my tahriib to Colombia. So will be joining that elite 4+ club soon, leaving you pathetic three-tonguers in the dust

I speak af Somali, Arabic, & can understand around 40% of Turkish & around 20% written Turkish. Inshallah I’ll get to 70-80% proficiency in a year or two.

What about the Somali folks who speak Af Maymay + Af Somali + 2 other languages. Does that count like four languages?

Reer woqooyi and Reer bari consider Af Maymay like a foreign language.
