Anyone ever seen this rodent in Somalia?

I was searching for a pet and coincidentally came across the naked mole-rat. Apparently, it's native to Somali lands. However, I've never heard of it, even though I've been back home quite often. Does anyone know what it's called in Somali?

You sure have a weird hobby. Of all things you wanna have a pet rat and a naked mole at that? Just kidding but you know what subhanallah they sure look interesting. They are hairless mammals with a skin texture similar to the of elephants but acts just like an ant colony. I've never seen one before in real life.

I wouldn't mind keeping them as a pet tbh. I just remembered that that kid from Kim Possible carried around a naked mole rat xd.

Maybe he was a self-hating, bleaching Somali lool.

Rodents aren't harmless, they spread diseases. There are also plenty of beautiful, harmless animals.
