I spent a couple of months in rural Texas some years ago for work, and developed a taste for it, and of late, when driving between States, I some times tune in to the radio, and listen to Blue Grass; are you familiar with it?I like carrie underwood and the dixie chicks.

Not all country is like that, some songs are happy, but still the music is trash so it doesn't matter at the end of the day.Yll know damn well that genre is disturbing, it’s usually the same cycle, break ups, whiskey, trucks, more heartbreaks, sleepless nights and it’s a repeat from there. That’s depressing as hell!! To each his/her own!

I agree, it is not for every one, and is an acquired taste; you would not till you have been to a Rodeo, lived amongst the cowboys, and driven though the South in the US.True, some can be. My problem is I can’t relate to it in any capacity.
