How do I improve my Somali reading skills? I have an extremely limited vocab and read at a 3rd grade level

I want to read Somali literature better, I'm trying to read a book called Halgan iyo Hagardaamo right now but the vocab is very difficulty. My speaking is decent, I just have the typical western accent.

I have twitter to read FKD tweets, it's helped a bit but I want high level stuff.
