Any somalis here from hargesia

Aslamu alaikum,

Any somalis here from hargesia? Does anyone from hargesia knows a great grandfather by the name of Mahmoud with a last name Isaac who’s parents and 27 other family members died in a hajj journey due to a strong sandstorm that approximately happened 100 years ago or so. Please anyone from hargesia or if you know any one from hargesia ask around

Great grandfather Mahmoud was raised by his uncle and aunt after his father’s death and then his uncle and aunt died; he also had a sister

Aun if legit.

>Mahmoud ibn abu bakr he belong to ishaq tribe of hargesia

Is this a not so subtle dig at isaaq? are you mixed? - I cannot see how else you would otherwise not know the clan of your families ascendants.
We are from Yemen; the somali root is from the great grandmother; but we do know Mahmoud her brother returned to hargesia; but we don't know wether he married or had kids in hargesia; so people in somalia may have more track record of Mahmoud and his descendants if he had any kids

Sorry for being rude, the qabilliste dregs on this site keep me on my guard.

point 1/3 seem relevant, try looking through colonial records

a lot of oromo and swahili claimed/still claim somali lineage in arabia, have you done a dna test?

But we do know she was Somali because she didn't speak Arabic; when she would make dua she would make it in Somali. About the dna I did but it's irrelevant to the topic I'm also not taking a dig at anyone I just wanted to know wether her brother had descendants or not.

Because of the cultural gap/differences; she did feel lonely at times and she wanted to be with her Somali side of the family but she did not have a family because they all passed away as I mentioned above, her only direct relative would have been her brother Mahmoud but she also lost contact with Mahmoud when he moved back; because they got separated from a young age

Inshallah you find his descendants
