Any bakers here? Why is it the most difficult thing in the world!

When I failed to do the more tricky ones (I was in way over my head) I decided to cheat and attempt to do the really simple 2-3 ingredient ones like mug cakes for example, that you only have to put in the microwave for 2 mins...guess what, I failed that too instead of it taking me 2 minutes it took me 2 hours and I had to switch from the microwave to the stove to the oven.



My cakes are always either really soggy and undercooked or burnt to a crisp.

The oven in my house is quite strong, so it tends to overcook our cakes when we attempt to make them
But I’m not really a baker, I’d like to get into it though
