Anti Cushitic bias

We know there is an extensive anti Cushitic bias in the fields of linguistics, history and archeology because of European guilt complex. Liberals in these fields attach our history to other groups so that they can atone for their previous sins in Africa. This is not something new.

Recently I’ve noticed that there’s always someone editing the Cushitic people’s page, Kerma, Nubians etc. on Wikipedia, removing valuable information or rearranging sentences in order to frame the narrative.

Have you guys noticed similar tendencies?

your statement makes no sense, europeans colonized us in the same fashion as they did the rest of the continent and should feel guilt and atone for there sins, why would that lead to favoring when we went through the same colonialism

The Europeans reinforced theories such as the Hamitic hypothesis for their own racist agenda.

When the archeological findings and linguistic evidence indicated that the Hamitic hypothesis was indeed true (without the racist connotations), they decided to flip the script and rewrite our history because of their guilt complex.

Christopher Ehret admitted that there is an anti Cushitic bias in linguistic, archeology and history so it’s not something new.

I don't know if there's an anticushitic bias, but there is a certain lack of interest in and dismissal of Cushitic languages from academics. Most studies on African languages seems to almost always cover Semitic languages or Bantu languages. Just look at the complete lack of research in Promo, for instance, one of the most popular languages in Africa.

This is why Somalis need to invest in education we can perform these studies ourselves.

Somalis can disagree on many things but we should create associations for different professions/fields so that we can improve the lives of our people and control our own narrative.

We need to look to other successful Afro-Asiatic people like the Jews and use their approach.

yeh your right untill recently the hamitic theory was called a myth even though it was true

What are some examples of the bias? Articles, books etc.

One example is the attempts to associate languages spoken in Kerma culture with Nilo-Saharan languages. Similar to how Meroitic is given a Nilotic base despite irrefutable linguistic similarities with Ancient Egyptian and other Afro-Asiatic languages.

That's exactly how the Sabean migration theory started by the Italians. They tried to create a connection between the might of Axum to Semites even though it never existed. Thank God it's been disproven now.
