Another Putin critic gets poisoned

A plane carrying prominent Russian politician Alexei Navalny who is in a coma after a suspected poisoning has arrived in Berlin from the Siberian city of Omsk, according to Kira Yarmysh, Navalny's spokeswoman.

He noted the assassination of Russian politician Boris Nemstov in 2015, the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko, a former KGB agent who died in 2006 after drinking a cup of tea laced with radioactive plutonium, as well as the case of Sergei Skripal, a Russian spy who spent weeks in critical condition after being poisoned with the military-grade nerve agent Novichok in the British city of Salisbury.

"So clearly, being an outspoken opposition leader or being a corruption fighter or a whistle-blower in Russia is a dangerous business indeed," Cohen said.

"Navalny was doing a lot of work exposing corruption, including at the highest level … and this is what they do to retaliate against their critics."

Putin has leveled the whole residential areas in Syria in front of the IC. Cities look like WW2 battle grounds. He has no regard for human lives.

These Russian opposition figures know the risks when they go against Putin.

In Russia if you are in opposition, you are immediately classified as the agent of the West. Then KGB starts working on your demise.

It's so brazen it makes me doubt that it was Putin because he has a stranglehold on the country and his power is not questioned. What does he gain from this?

Putin is not popular in Russia. People want change. He is pro-actively removing anybody who can pose threat to him. At one time the US sent whole teams to post-Soviet Ukraine, Republic of Georgia and Kyrgyzstan to incite revolution. The US Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine was the largest one in the woirld with staff of about 400 people. It is hard to blame him for employing fear tactics.

The West wants Russia to break apart as it is messing up their global agenda and sits on the biggest chunk of land. Countries that conduct independent foreign policies from the West are always on the chopping block. Erdogan survived the 2016 coup only because the ordinary Turks stood by him. Putin does not have this luxury as he is hated domestically. So, Putin crashed anybody posing threat to him before he or she gains country-wide popular support.

I came to a conclusion that all leaders of big countries regardless of their agendas and global affiliations are thugs. Killing people is one of their job descriptions.

Can you blame him? Being a leader is a hard job and everyone is your potential replacement and adversary.

Look at what fircaun said to Musa the prophet of Allah. He accused him of wanting to depose him and rule with his foreign ideology.

It's kill or be deposed. Only a leader loved by his ppl is secure in his rule, even though they too can be poisoned or assassinated.

Trump seems to get along well with the authoritarian leaders, if Biden wins he will try and remove leaders like Putin, Erdogan and El-Sisi
