Alhamdulilah I was born a puntlanderQabyaalad is ok for you because you live in gobol majerteen kaliya Thats not qabyaalad thats just a communityyou have no dagaal between other clans because you have no other clans. Same with somaliland 1 clan. They have no need to remove clans because they re all one big extended family
The south has qabyaalada xaqqa thats why this stuff happens. Thats why qabyaalad is bad
Just because the south canāt control its qabyalad mechanisms means all somali have to ditch Qabyalad? No sir!Qabyaalad is ok for you because you live in gobol majerteen kaliya Thats not qabyaalad thats just a communityyou have no dagaal between other clans because you have no other clans. Puntland isnāt home just to us. Many clans live with us in peace and prosperity. We thank Allah for bestowing us with this peaceful land and producing among us, elders whose wisdom and intellect is unmatched in the Horn of Africa.I dont see the issue you have with ditching it you dont even have anyone in your state to be tribalist against
@moosaid has a hilarious story about how one time he was in Morocco and an elderly Morrocan lectured his family about how great Siyaad Barre was and they had to sit quietly and hear an ajnabi praise the greatness of faqash far away from Somalia while on vacation![]()
They were too scared to speak. Moosaid and his family just sat there in a foreign land on the train ayago gafuurka taagaya![]()
āBut but bratharā¦he kill many idoor 3 million brathar!ā

Qabyalad will always exist, but we start with peace and protection of oneās property. Then we build from there to justice and proper execution of the law, step by step yknow, instead of screaming ādestroy all qabil!āMaanshaAllaaha all your communities at peace with each other. do tell moresorry to go off on a tangent but Wanlaweyn is a deeply historical place, itās where we produced the first somali version of Tammany Hall.
Ofcourse and i recognise the value of qabiil as identity and community. By building strong force of law though you can do away with qabyaalad completely ma fahantay it doesnt always existQabyalad will always exist, but we start with peace and protection of oneās property. this generalising and emotional response holds everyone back.
yup, its pure jahilnimo and munafiqnimoWhoever dies upon tribalism will be in hell
during the referendum on amendments to the somali constitution in 1961, the small town of Wanlaweyn which had no more than 15,000 inhabitants ended up recording 100,000 votes in favour of constitutional amendment.do tell more
Was it the district or city yeah I've heard crazy but walwayan is massive on google earth nowduring the referendum on amendments to the somali constitution in 1961, the small town of Wanlaweyn which had no more than 15,000 inhabitants ended up recording 100,000 votes in favour of constitutional amendment.
This was more than the 100,000 votes against cast against this amendment in the entirety of the north, something which left the northern political opposition aghast. Western political observers compared it to Tammany hall, the famous democrat political machine which was active in 19th century New York and was mired in corruption + renowned for its brazen vote rigging/suppression.
Itās also why landers begun using Wanlaweyn as a pejorative to describe southern politics. Which wasnāt really southern at that time but thatās a topic for another day.
The town itself. Wanlaweyn today has no more than thirty thousand inhabitants. Was it the district or city yeah I've heard crazy but walwayan is massive on google earth now
