Ana Arabs Come In

Yes, they share the same lahjat as Ta’iz but it is considered part of historical Hadramaut.

Virtually the entire Southern Arabian peninsula coastline starting from Aden until Oman is Hadramaut.

I am talking about prior to colonisation or the modern Yemen.

Here is an old map of Hadramaut in 1914 that highlights the Aden colony but still includes it as Hadramaut.

Bro Hadramaut wasn’t a kingdom or a specific place. It’s an old term since the time of the prophet SAW to refer to the Southern coast of Arabia.

From Aden to Oman.

The region today is named after the historical term. You are conflating the two.

That's geographically only as not all south of Yemen is Hadhramaut culturally or socially.

Doesn’t matter.

Doesn’t change the fact that Hadramaut refers to Southern Arabia. What it has been redefined to mean nowadays doesn’t change its original definition.

What a mess of a thread!

Many of y'all clearly suffer from identity crisis. No wonder why y'all resort to either turning anti-Arab or ana-Arab to fill some void in your identities :drakewtf:
Yeah there’s too many extremes in this thread. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. There’s definitely a lot of Arabs out there who view us favourably but let’s not pretend slaves in Libya & discrimination in certain parts of Yemen weren’t a obvious thing. If we weren’t black skinned the above wouldn’t have happened 🤷🏿‍♂️

All jokes aside, it's not just about being in the middle. The way these anti-Arabs speak about Arabs, you'd think that they are oppressing us in our land like Israel are doing to Palestinians. 💀 Tone it down, for God's sake. We can acknowledge their mistreatment/bigotry of Somalis without doing olympics in victimhood or wandering with constant ciil towards them 🤣

Meanwhile, the ana-Arabs do all types of mental gymnastics just to prove their Arabness. To make it worse, they get triggered when other Somalis don't identify as Arabs. How can you be mad at me for not entertaining your delusions? 🤨 While it's true that Arab is a loosely-defined identity nowadays, it would only make sense it was applied to ethnic Arabs and Arabized people. We don't fit into either categories 🤷‍♂️ But if they still want to go by it, please just don't embarrass us.
