This entire attack on Somalis being called wannabe Arab is a psyop and disinformation. Its also dumb. There is Arab influence in Somalia just like there is Bantu, Ethiopians etc. Arabs are our neighbours. I think its the diaspora who care to much and imo its obsession with being considered black. And a lot of black people don't like Somalis and use this as their way of insulting us.
Imo constantly saying we are not Arabs but black is cringey, defensive for no reason and imo begging to be accepted by the black community. We beg way too hard to be accepted black especially Somali girls. And by black I mean black american. Atleast we share a religion with Arabs, this obsession with black people is cringe.
