An opportunity that was wasted

    Interest rates are raising, that means it’s harder to fund projects.

    When the financial crisis happened they were lowered to stimulate growth.

    Now when they’re going back up , so many countries have squandered the opportunities that comes with low interest rates.

    Lots of countries in Africa have wasted this opportunity because interest rates are rising. They might never go down again to the same levels.

    Asian countries borrowed heavily to stimulate growth, that’s why you see an emerging market currency crisis.

    As always the African countries are lagging behind.
