They've already attacked a hotel dressed in AMISOM clothing but everyone knew it was them because Somalis are easy to spot. I think AMISOM are covering their backs in case a few of their soldiers go on a rampage. They're very angry with Somalis for seeing them as an occupying force. When the Somali army vacated their base prior to the deadliest Al Shabaab attack the foreign armies nearly threw in the towel. That's why they're all for building a Somali force now and exiting whereas before they were happy to remain pulling in and out of towns and avoiding any fighting.
