I was just wondering since in the secondary education system of most countries they force students to learn the language of their neighbors. In Somalia I think it would be more useful to incentivize Amharic over Swahili.

That's actually true. I know an upper-middle class Ugandan family that exclusively speak English. I remember complimenting his English until he weeks after revealed that he barely speaks his mother tongue. I forget which, but it was one of the southern language in Uganda.

I met a Ugandan in Germany before who spoke some kind of English pidgin at home. I was perplexed that she didn't speak some kind of African language with her family.

We don't have a functioning country and even their medieval feudal economy shits on ours. We won't be milking anything. Still wouldn't learn amxara- though. They should learn af Somali or get lost.
