Oromos/OLA have also increased their attacks against gov’t positions for the past week(s), despite officially being in negotiation with the gov’t, even though it partially broke down.

You’re underestimating Tigrayans. Their morales by be at rock bottom by being subjugated by Abiy and Isias, but they are still armed. The were doing shactaro by showing how they handed over their weapons to ENDF, while secretly keeping other weapons hiding in the mountains.
Obviously, they don’t have the capability to mount a warfare against the state for another round. But if Ethiopia were to disintegrate, Tigrayans would be on top. Even higher than Oromos, who don’t even know to fight.
They’ve been engaged in a military struggle against the state for so long, but what do they have to show for? Nada
Tigray were broken by the government, not by amhara. What I meant is that if the U.S and the UK said f*ck it, let Ethiopia disentegrate and supported no side but watched, amhara would be the biggest losers. There's land dispute between them and tigray, and between them and oromo, and they are weaker than both when it comes to fighting.

Agreed. Tigrayans are the Jews of Ethiopia, while Oromos are the African-Americans of Ethiopia.
No one should put Oromos in the same sentence as Tigrayans.

It’s spot on tho. Regardless of where you put Tigrayans, they’ll always manage to finess Amharas and Oromos.
When TPLF ruled the country, they listed OLA as a terrorist organization. When the Tigray war began, the same people who made that decision began to beg them into supporting, which they foolishly did.
Now that TPLF agreed with the government to move on, they left OLA again for the ditches. Back to nothingness for the OLA. Abiy could literally ignore them, and their ‘militant’ activities would’nt even make any fuss.

Amharas doesn’t stand any chance if it were Tigrayans vs. Amharas by themselves. Even if it were to happen today, despite the losses Tigrayans endured and ultimately defeat in the war.

Amharas are naturally the custodians of Ethiopia. Tegarus were a serf class who elevated themselves through 30 years of corruption and gallas are basically the madows of Ethiopia. Everyone treats them with kiddie gloves and pities them
Amhara's cannot rule Ethiopia. That era is dead, the numbers just don't add up.
It has to be an Oromo, Abiy wasn't selected due to good will.

Numbers are irrelevant. Most societies are ruled by an elite upper class ethnicity. How do you think Tutsis have had their hegemony for so long in the Great Lakes? Alawites in Syria? Anglos in America?

The only reason Assad didn't get the Gaddafi treatment is due to Russia/Iran. There's nothing inherently special about Alawites. Dominant minorities remain dominant because they have population with greater human capital, and that doesn't apply to Amharas. They haven't held the reins in 50 years lol, nobody will accept them.
