Is there any sincere interest left in the unified Ethiopian identity after the recent invasion of the Tigray region? It seems to increasingly be an Amhara project. I wonder what the inevitable Amhara-Oromo conflict will do to Ethiopia as we know it.

It is a shame considering all the economic progress in recent years. Ethiopia could have been Africa's success story if it weren't for the unaddressed bloodshed at the hands of Amhara and Tigrayan leadership. Tigrays actually have the capability of doing a number on the Ethiopian state and army. Each time they make an offensive, they slowly drop the mask that the Amhara regime is holding up.

However, one must remember that it is not in their interest to help Somalis in Galbeed and Somalia as a whole. They simply want to taste the sweet pie of ruling Ethiopia officially, and unofficially having a major stake within Somalia itself. We must remember the actions they committed during the 90's when, even though they were kindly brought in by Somalis to train them, they backstabbed us and took complete control over Addis Ababa. They were also supplied weaponry and supplies in exchange for the full Autonomy of the Ogaden region, but they brazenly violated their terms and brutally suppressed Somalis living in Galbeed.

So I support the Tigrays regarding the ensuing conflict that is occurring, but we must turn our cheeks towards them once they are done.

facts, these amharas keep saying ethiopia first when ever other ethnic groups embrace their ethnic identity or complain about something their ethnicity is dealing with. they are making it so obvious they want to hide everyone’s identity and that they subconsciously see ethiopia = amhara.
