they started this shiit right after Eisenhower was elected president, and wasn't completed till 1992.
their whole countrymen gathered and supported this. most importantly it created job's and taxes, that recycled back into developing their nation.

A good African country to watch is Kenya. Recently build Highway roads & the Light Train (unfortunately by the Chinese) should be examined how it improves economy & Wealth in their country. I was watching Youtube on how the highways & the train has significantly cut travel times, in half.
