Friends don't exist with countries, just mutual interest alliances
Qatar is gravitating back to the US sphere. They use to host the largest US military base in the Middle East before their beef with UAE and Saudi Arabia. In a statement last month President Biden said he is designating Qatar as a major Non-NATO ally. Qatar also just purchased $20 billion worth of planes from the US company Boeing. One of the largest orders for planes from Boeing ever. Qatar also recently struck a multi billion deal with Germany to supply them with gas to help them a bit with their Russia issue although Qatar is not a full alternative to Russia.

The meeting was from Qatar’s mediation team, but in somehow they succeeded in messing things up with that postI'm just amused at how they deleted the tweet. Like they were considering being pro-SL then Thani was like "Nah, delete."
They probably left it to some graduate student who looked up Somaliland on Wikipedia and based his post on that then some odays got a look at it and were like "What has he done?!"

What you're saying is absurd. Its near impossible for a diplomatic statement, briefing or even a tweet to go out without going through internal processes of revision and oversight, only then are they cleared to publish. Diplomatic circles dont work like your typical Somalian FKD session.
The statement was clearly directed toward the Somalian government, this is evidenced by the panicked lengthy and official response from the Somalians.
All in all a very public humiliation for you lot

Saaxiib, I'm obviously trolling. But as someone who's rolled in some diplomatic circles (non-Somali ones included) you'd be surprised by how weirdly incompetent it can be sometimes.
