Am hella scared

Just booked my accommodation in xamar. Am from xamar and we got a lot of houses and family there but am hella scared about my safety walking around the streets so I booked an accommodation am that paranoid and literally stressed about safety. Should I even go? Am a local who is paying for accommodation premium at elsewhere make it make sense please but I just don't even trust living in the same houses as my families due to the security fragile in xamar am also scared doing touristy stuff like hanging out liddo, dinning out could potentially be me subconsciously walking into qarax. Is this feeling OK or do I just love life too much and holding on to dear life too tight?
Nigga grow a pair. If it's your time to go it's your time to go. A muslim should never be afraid of death. This world is just a fleeting moment pray your five salaad and accept the fact that death is inevitable.:kodaksmiley:

If you come to terms with that you have unlocked the indhoadeeg and bravery of the geelraac. Then you can find peace of mind and courage even in the most stressing of situations.

It’s clearly not worth it if it’s bringing all that stress to you.

The problem with Xamar isn’t just the qaraxs which are not a problem statistically (very low likelihood you are in the wrong place at the wrong time) but it’s also the police/soldiers, the criminals etc. I know a few ppl who were in the ‘wrong’ neighbourhood who got afduub’d by ‘soldiers’ but they had qabiil privilege Alhamdulilah.

I recommend you don’t make it obvious ur a diaspora, don’t go to areas your people don’t reside in and also avoid the askaris.

Man up mate, qaraxs barely happen unless your in close contact with government officials and are much less deadly than you’d think. I know a dude that’s survived 3 of em. Everyone does touristy stuff here the amount of nightlife here is surprising, only advice I can give you is make sure you go with someone who’s known if you want access/protection and don’t look the soldiers in the eyes. Those fukers are crazy

Stay away from hotels and restaurants or atleast limit your time there. Be alert about your surroundings. You have to keep in mind nothing will happen to you without Allah’s permission enjoy your trip specially the fresh meats. You’ll tell ok it’s safer now don’t let fear ruin your trip

Youll be fine, stop being so scared elections are over.

HG is welcome in AG territory and vice versa. Walaalo hiraab waaye. Now get out of my business
But you said “don’t go to areas your people don’t reside in“ what does that mean then? It’s a Hawiye city not like non hawiye have areas that belong to them since the genocide.

Somali men have become weak, look at this grown-ass man saying he's scared :ftw9nwa:

There's more diaspora than you can imagine, trust me you're not that special buddy.

Common people are decent, good-hearted and hardworking. They won't do a crime or pick a fight unless it's Friday at the beach and they're rowdy (I've occasionally had to beat the crap out of some dude before duhr jamac). Soldiers aren't there to hurt you mf, any targeted trouble/harassment can be avoided with >3$ bribe. Qaraxs are nearly non-existent.

Btw, don't wear overly expensive clothes. Fitting in with the people around you is a given no matter where you are. And its MUCH safer to stay in a house/apartment than a hotel. For restaurants, Makkah al mukarramah and xamar weyne have some of the best. For seafood i recommend Pescatore near Lido, absolutely gorgeous views and delicious. These options are all safe ftr, and Lido beach is guarded heavily.

I feel much safer in Xamar than any inner city UK metropolis 🗿 Plus yeah, no one is kidnapping your ass. In a city of ~3 million maybe 3-10% is diaspora. You aren't that special bro 💀
