TFG/FGS soldiers were selling their weapons to AS for money to feed their family in 2009/10. The moment the foreign militaries in southern Somalia leave it will be overrun.

PL and SL will be safe for the most part, the port city of Kismaayo as well. The rest GG.:cosbyhmm:

If AS truly overrun the South Puntland is going to be at risk of falling. They’d have millions of young bodied men they’d indoctrinate and far too much funds to not at least capture all of Mudug. Also if Shabaab start governing rather than being a terrorist faction (which they’re forced into being right now) like you see with the Taliban you’ll suddenly start seeing sympathetic supporters inside other Somali territories.

PL is what keeps SL free from the chaotic South and if it starts affecting PL it’ll start affecting SL too. So I doubt the international community ever truly leave.

Afghanistan is the perfect example. Taliban have captured territory that isn’t even Punjabi dominated (something they couldn’t do even before the American invasion).

Puntland will be in big danger if Alshabab manages to capture the south after salibiyiin armies leaves
