It would be hard to keep calm in that situation though. The guy probably thought he was going to get shot either wayI'm not defending the police by any means as alot of them are pricks and abuse of their use of power however two things don't help your case when they decide to stop you
1) Resisting arrest, even if you are guilty wait until you get to the police station for questioning and hire a good damn lawyer to use sue their asses if you were arrested for a crime that you didn't commit
2) Running away even after the police tell you to stop multiple times.
If you do either of these things then obviously why should you expect the police to deal with you in a civil and humane manner, and you are increasing the risk of you getting killed by one of these cops as they think you are threat, or being dragged to the ground forcefully.
This narrative of black people being stopped randomly by the police for supposedly minding their own business needs to stop. The police have a database and if you are someone who has a history of commiting crimes and runs in with the police, and they get a call from someone who matches your description, then your data will automatically show up on their database when they are out patrolling.
Yes racial profiling does occur and I'm not denying that fact but again how you deal the police makes a huge difference.
African American men who get caught up in crime were most likely raised mainly by these loud mouth ghetto single mothers, they had no real father figures in their lives to discipline them and show them the right way other than looking up to their local male drug dealers/gang bangers in their own neighborhoods.
