The civil war allowed all kinds of Somalis to access the blessings of the western world and some have benefitted immensely. The coming decade will be full of upheaval with all the chosen few ruling families being deposed all across the clan enclaves. The change will come as a shock to some who were used to oppressing and denying opportunities to the rest of the citizens. No longer will a child replace his father in political office since the seat will be open to all.
