Yes Al Shabaab are not encircling Jowhar from the east but you need to understand unlike of Baladweyne, Jowhar highway and airport are located in west of the river wich is part of Al Shabaab map
Why Amisom protects guudlawe inside Jowhar where they have a base as well as the airport outside of it? Because they are not Abaal territory. Madaxtooyada hirshabelle is located in the Gaaljecel side of hantiwadaag in south of the city bc Abgaal side is shit every thing is located in the other Xaafado so mohamed dheere moved to some UN agency building in Hantiwadaag and then they annexed Madow beer next to it and gave it to the Amisom so they can protect them. Middle and west Jowhar are not inhabited by Abgaal so it is dangerous and unsafe for their officials to travel that links it to Jowhar and Balcad. The airport is located in a bad area where floods occur. It was built by Siyad Barre regime for agricultural purposes using helicopters and small military aircraft to fight the locusts. Instead of building their new airport in the east of the city as Hawadle did in Baladweyne and Buuloburde(ex Baladweyne airport was in galbeedka) The Abgaal idiots used the old agricultural airfield which is why they are paying the price now
