Al-Shabab leader surrenders to Somali army in South West State

Baidoa (HOL) - A senior al Shabaab leader surrendered to the Somali National Army (SNA) on Thursday in Baidoa town in the Bay region, Southwest state of Somalia.

In a press conference in Baidoa town, Isse Omar Derow Ishaq said that he was the leader of 400 al Shabaab fighters and was in charge of the group’s operations in the Lower and Middle Jubba regions and Bay region.

The Southwest Intelligence and Security Agency displayed the leader with a PK machine gun and AK47 rifle in Baidoa town.

Issa Omar Derow said he understood the error in the terror groups' thinking and decided to side with the Somali people.

To bring down Alkabab, We should close borders and make 24/7 surveillance cause most of recruitment comes from outside Somalia. Second step put spys on IDP camps cause they poor and easy to recruit.

Why in North west and north east Alkabab has less movement because of above actions I mention.
