Al Aruba hotel being rebuilt in xamar

The Somali government, along with local investors, plans to rebuild the Al Aruba Hotel in Xamar. The total cost to restore and rehabilitate the Aruba Hotel will be $60 million. The Somali government is inviting investors from around the world to invest in restoring the hotel. The Somali government plans to raise money to rebuild the hotel, but so far, there have been no updates. It's expected that the Somali government will have a majority stake in the hotel. When the hotel is completed, it will host international events and revive Somalia's dying tourism industry.

There are numerous luxury beachside hotels in Xamar (Elite, Dolphin, etc.). I think rebuilding the Al Aruba hotel will be a waste of time, money, and energy. Instead, the government and local investors should direct that $60 million towards building a state-of-the-art seafood processing plant. The seafood processing plant will bring numerous benefits to the government and people of Somalia. It will create jobs, contribute to domestic food security, help the government earn hard currency, and improve our GDP. There is not a single seafood processing plant in Xamar, and that is really embarrassing.

Do you think it will be more feasible and optimal to demolish the Al Aruba hotel and build a seafood processing plant instead? The UAE government recently built a state-of-the-art seafood processing plant that cost $54 million. Just imagine if we directed that $60 million towards building a seafood processing plant in Mogadishu. The government's priorities are messed up.
