When you click on the source of the Egyptian historian claiming arabs ruled Ifat. You get hit with this,

A source that has nothing to do with that Egyptian historian who lived in the middle ages. If you're going to lie, at least try better to hide it. No source would've been better then this ๐Ÿ’€

Islam in Ethiopia is an English language source which cites back to Al-Maqrizi. Wikipedia's editorial guidelines prefer that editors cites to sources that are in the same language as the wikipedia article. Not a bad rule. Thus, the editors cite to Trimingham instead of to Al-Maqrizi. Al-Maqrizi is still the ultimate source of the information.

Argobbaโ€™s werenโ€™t even muslims until Somalis conquered and converted them ๐Ÿ˜‚ The Argobbaโ€™s are just some inbred near-extinct ethnicity that habesha like to use as โ€œproofโ€ for Muslim civilization in the Horn yet these same people were pagan until the 16th century.
Yes but they weren't waaqists
the imam sent an expedition to argubba (argobbas) in dawaro to islamize them

Sxb, they are not lying. Our people need to stop attributing empires and kingdoms built by non-Somalis as one of ours. There is overwhelming evidence to show that those empires were built by Arabs and other Semitic speakers.

Since time immemorial, the coastal towns along the northern Somali shores have been politically subject to the Arabian states. "An Arab sultanate with its capital in Zeila was founded by emigrants from Yemen in the 7th century AD. By the 13th century, it had become powerful as the empire of Adal."

Arab Faqih states that Ethio-Semitic speakers formed the dominant section of the Adal population. He also makes it clear that the sedentary agriculturalist population of Harar provided both the leadership in the jihadic war and that they were the majority of the fighters, at least during the early days of the jihad. No mention of Somalis being the majority in Harar.

Most of the Muslim rulers in Adal, Ifat, Shawa, and Hadiya seem to have been Semitic speakers who were Muslim in their customs, names, titles, and religion.
