I'm tired of hearing that stupid narrative that Somali women are cheap, when we're on average some of the least th0tty women out there.This narrative, perpetuated by loud incels online, puts innocent SW in danger of being targeted by creeps irl. I won't have it anymore.

I never said that we are cheap. I just said what other men said where I live and it wasn’t Somali men who said that. This came from ajnabi men. I even had once a 60 year old Somali lady tell me to not marry certain countries cause they call Somali women cheap. How could a old that doesn’t use social media or internet know about those type of stuff? I‘m just telling the truth. It hurts me hear that too but it is how it is. It’s perfectly fine to provide constructive criticism or call out negative behaviour when you see it. The only issue is grouping them all under an umbrella just because of the dysfunctional ones. I’m a firm believer in balanced critiques. It is toxic and rather unhealthy to put an entire group of people on a pedestal while vilifying another. More specifically, pedestalizing someone you don’t know that’s ethnic community you have a limited grasp of doesn’t make sense. While simultaneously fixating on aspects of individuals within your ethnic community that you can’t stand and vilifying them all in retribution. Whatever happened to discernment and giving people the benefit of the doubt based on who they show up as not just where they hail from. Those were my main points.Am GUILTY! Looool that’s one step of healing right? InshAllah khair but I can’t help but see dysfunction when I see a Somali men.
