most of their weapons like their anti-aircraft systems which were made in the soviet union were originally owned by the yemeni army before houthis took it over and modified it


for example the thaqib 1 an anti aircraft system developed by the houthis
was originally a Soviet-made R-73E air-to-air missile which had been modified by the Houthis to be fired from ground-based launchers.

Ask yourself is it really about shia vs sunni or is it the survival of yemen. UAE and Saudi Arabia are known for their rapes of Yemen prisoners of war. You get caught by them, your ass wont be the same afterwards. While Houthis will kill you or treat you as a prisoner with few rights.

Sometimes looking at a macro level is not helpful, finding the bad guy is easy. Who is being invaded, who is invading. Look between the lines, the micro level will show you the truth.
