Somalis originate from our region (Kingdom of Cush-Red sea) and we share the same religion and similar language, and some similar culture aspect such as lighting incense. The biggest difference would have to be that we're mainly agricultural while Somalis are more pastoral.

Thats interesting. A lot of people claim to descend from the kingdom of Kush. I know some south sudanese folks who do as well.
I heard Beja's were apart of the Ancient Egyptian army. You guys have a great oral history and know your roots based off what I've read. Wish we did the same.
